Get up and running with AllAgents in minutes.

Create a Workspace

allagents workspace init my-workspace
cd my-workspace

Or Start from a Remote Template

Initialize directly from any GitHub repository - no cloning required:

# From a GitHub URL
allagents workspace init my-workspace --from https://github.com/myorg/templates/tree/main/nodejs

# Or using shorthand
allagents workspace init my-workspace --from myorg/templates/nodejs

This fetches the workspace configuration directly from GitHub and sets up your workspace instantly.

Install Plugins

allagents plugin install code-review@claude-plugins-official

On an interactive terminal, choose project or user scope, select the clients that should receive the plugin, review the declaration, and confirm. For scripts, provide the target explicitly:

allagents plugin install code-review@claude-plugins-official \
  --scope project --client claude --yes

To install the same plugin for both Claude Code and Codex, run:

allagents plugin install code-review@claude-plugins-official \
  --scope project --client claude,codex --yes

Sync Plugins

allagents update

Installed file copies follow their declared source. Updates can overwrite edits made directly to those copies without asking. Keep lasting customizations in a source directory or fork; see Updates and Local Customizations for Git snapshots and recovery.

Remove a Plugin

allagents plugin uninstall code-review@claude-plugins-official --scope project

This removes the project declaration and its managed installed artifacts. Make any customizations in the source before removing an installed copy you edited.

Add Individual Skills

Pass owner/repo directly to install all skills from that repo — no flags required:

allagents skill add ReScienceLab/opc-skills

To install only a specific skill from a multi-skill repo:

allagents skill add reddit --from ReScienceLab/opc-skills

Or point at a specific skill file with a full URL:

allagents skill add https://github.com/owner/repo/tree/main/skills/my-skill

Install User-Scoped Plugins

Choose user in the interactive installer, or pass the target explicitly:

allagents plugin install superpowers@obra/superpowers \
  --scope user --client claude,codex --yes

The selected plugin is added to ~/.allagents/workspace.yaml and synced to the selected user-level client directories.

Check Status

allagents status

Lists all configured plugins and skills with their availability status and target clients. Each entry shows a Type of plugin or skill. The legacy form allagents workspace status is still accepted.
